Peer Reviewers Enhance and Improve the Quality of Their Manuscript Discussion Both reviewers and authors benefit from Peer Reviews. Students participating in a Peer Review will strengthen both reading and writing skills. More specifically, students will: Learn to focus carefully, with attention to detail when reading their own or a peer’s work. Strengthen their own writing by reflecting on a reviewer’s comments and responding with revisions. Gain skills to effectively communicate with the appropriate purpose and conventions. Practice writing for a broader audience, not just for an instructor or as a way to fulfill a requirement.
